Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Dalanzadgad. Welcome meal and settle in for the evening.

Day 2

Drive to the Khongor Sand Dunes. Enjoy camel riding, explore the dunes, and watch the sunset. Overnight near Khongor.

Day 3

Drive to Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs. Explore the famous red sandstone formations and learn about the Gobi's dinosaur fossil history. After the visit, return to Dalanzadgad for overnight stay.

Day 4

Set out early for the long drive to Shar Tsav. Explore this remote dinosaur footprint area and experience a less-visited side of the Gobi connected to Mongolia's prehistoric past. Overnight in tent accommodation near Shar Tsav.

Day 5

If you would like, enjoy more time around Shar Tsav in the morning before heading back to Dalanzadgad. This allows a more relaxed experience at the site without rushing the return journey. Overnight in Dalanzadgad.

Day 6

Breakfast and transfer to the airport or bus station.
