Begin the journey by travelling deep into one of the Gobi's remote mountain regions, far from the standard tourist route. With the help of local guides, explore quiet valleys, open steppe, rocky hills, and wild landscapes that most visitors never reach. There may be opportunities to see ibex, gazelles, foxes, or birds of prey, depending on the season and luck. Overnight in tents in a remote wilderness area.
Spend another day exploring the remote Gobi mountains and surrounding hidden areas. Travel through wide desert valleys and lesser-known landscapes, with time to observe the natural environment, look for signs of wildlife, and stop for photographs along the way. These are places where you may see few or no other tourists or vehicles for long stretches of the journey. Overnight in tents in a remote wilderness area.
Visit Khongor Sand Dunes, Mongolia's largest sand dune system. Enjoy camel riding, climb the dunes, and watch the sunset over the desert. Overnight near Khongor.
Discover Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs, one of the Gobi's most famous sites, known for its red cliffs, desert views, and dinosaur fossil history. Return to Dalanzadgad for the final night.
Enjoy breakfast, then transfer to Dalanzadgad airport or bus station for your onward journey.
